Are there other safe canning methods besides boiling in huge pot? - pot lid racks

I like the jam, and yes, I could be something stuffed in the freezer jars, but I want something that will last in a closet. I did not walk a pot of jam or frame and is in our budget and buy a special tools. I have to use a little water, and boiling with flipper glass on the eyelids is one cup, but I do not know how long it will keep the glasses.

Ideas? Personal experiences? Thoughts?
